∙ 14y agoConnect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
A second way to unlock the iPod when the screen lock code has been forgotten is to connect it to your computer and view it in My Computer. Make sure you can view hidden files and go to folders, ipod control and then device and delete the file named _locked.
Another way is to connect it to your computer and restore it to factory settings. This will erase any and all information on the iPod.
If you are using a Mac and want to see the hidden files in finder:
In the Terminal type:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
To hide the files again, execute the same commands but switch TRUE to FALSE.

1) Go to Computer
2) Click on "____'s iPod"
3) Go to iPod Control
4) Device
5) Delete _Locked.
Eject your iPod and There you go! :D

∙ 12y agoWhen on the sign-in page, click on the option says that you "Forgot your password" and they will help you from there by giving instructions. And they most probably will ask for your e-mail.

∙ 13y agoIf your iPod touch is locked by a 4-digit passcode, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following:
1. Start iTunes and Plug the iPod touch in to your computer via the sync cable. This could be firewire and/or USB.
2. Hold the sleep/wake button(the button at the top) and the menu button(round button at the bottom) down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. If the ipod turns off or shows the "Slide to power down", just wait and try again. It takes about 10 seconds. Once the restore screen shows, Release the buttons.
3. Windows should quickly "install driver software" for a few seconds. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch.
Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.
