How do you use downloaded hairstyles and cloths and meshes for the sims 2 in the game. i already downloaded them to my computer but dnt know how to activate them into the game. can u help?

ok, I've added a link that will bring you to a page, you need to download winRAR in order to put your downloaded files into your game. the program is free and completely safe for your computer.
Alright once you've downloaded that you need to go into

My Documents/EA games/The sims 2

create a new folder and name it "Downloads" put ALL the items you've downloaded for the sims 2 into this folder, with winRAR downloaded they should look like a stack of three books with a belt around them.

once you put the files into the folder, select them all then right click and chose the "Extract here" option. when you are done with that you can delete the "Stacks of books" but keep the white files (as this is the custom content you have downloaded)

when you start up your sims game again, you might get a pop up that says you have installed content in your game, if this comes up just select the box that says you want to keep the content in your game, then restart the sims game.

now when you go into create a sim mode all the clothing and hair you've downloaded will be in your game!
