It is not recommended that you use your vacuum cleaner to shampoo with. In fact, you are discouraged from using any major appliance in the shower or even the bath. Likewise, the use of a toaster for drying or curling your hair is a misuse of the appliance. Even using the vacuum cleaner to shampoo your dog is discouraged. I have, however, heard of people successfully using a vacuum cleaner to help CUT their hair, but they were safely away from all water sources, and ran less risk of electrocution than you would if you were to take a vacuum cleaner into the shower with you.
