The Mac's built in iSight camera automatically works with software requiring a camera. Default applications that can use the camera are Photobooth, iMovie, iChat. Numerous other applications can be added that make use of the camera such as Skype or Evocam. (See links below)
If you are referring to the in-built iSight camera, you will need to either be using the following applications recommended by Apple; PhotoBooth, iChat, iMovie, iWeb or Skype. Currently, there is no Microsoft Messenger that is compatible with the Mac operating system. To use the iSight camera, simply open one othese applications listed and enable use of the camera - usually in the preferences of the application.

I think that it wouldn't make a difference. The Mac Book Pro has much bigger speakers though so buy any of them
