How do you view thirdperson in call of duty?

Depends what game and gametype. in MW3, MW2, cod 4, and black ops, when you are waiting to respawn in hardcore Team deathmatch or search and destroy, you can look at your allies in a 3rd persoin view by pressing Y (for xbox that is). For MW2, there is a gamemode where you can play in 3rd person, but it gets frusterating.
