Well, that's a 2.2kW load, so it is going to require a dedicated circuit. Go to the home center and buy a book. It will tell you exactly what you need to do to wire this. If you arn't confterable doing this, hire an electrician.
Also don't skimp on the wire. You need at least #14 if it is 240V and #10 for 120V. Using light wire is how fires start.
Also consider installing a cord and plug on it instead of hardwiring it. It will come in handy if you want to move the saw. You can buy twistlok and regular straight blade plugs in all different ratings for projects like this.
