First of all disconnect the battery and then start installing cables to solenoid.make sure all connection are cleaned by filing or by sanding with sand paper . And on your mounting spot it also should be filed clean of rust and paint. Mount your solenoid using both holes to make sure it is in place firm. Facing the solenoid from across the motor. On the right side install the + cable to the large terminal. On the left side in stall the cable going to your pump motor. And then install the small cable to the left or S marked small post. Reconnect your battery and try moving plow for to see if its working properly . Don

∙ 16y agoTo hook up a solenoid switch, the battery cable and the cable that goes to the starter have to be properly connected. The wire from the alternator goes to the battery cable side.
