You can start by doing some basic research. Assuming you need a book on Bluford to write about - as opposed to just writing about him - go to your local library to find a book.

Research can start on the internet, too. See the Related Links for a biography.

After that, you can make an outline for the report and start filling in the pieces from the book.

read the book, then summarize it in about a page (or less, depending on school/teacher, and 5th grade was a while ago for me) maybe try and write about the theme of the book?

i am trying to remember, but its been a while so I'm not sure about this, and the teacher could have something else in mind..... though most of the 5th grade writing is just for basic grammatical learning. like punctuation verbs etc.

How many sentences are in a report?

It is not the number of sentences important in a report, but the number of pages and paragraphs. Depending on the level of schooling you are in some reports can vary from as little as 3 pages to as many as 20+. I required my 5th grade students to do a 3-5 page report, but expected my college students to write a 15-20 page report.
