We don't. We only write years in Roman numerals, such as MMXII for 2012. Dates are usually written using standard Arabic symbols, such as 25.12.2012. Some non-English countries such as Portugal, Italy and Romania (amongst others) use Roman numerals for the month and Arabic for the day and year, such as 25. XII. 2012.
