What you need to do is STAY CALM and have consequences to the negative behavior, like a time out or restricting privileges. If the child is just being annoying or throwing a tantrum, your best defense is to ignore him/her. Getting your attention when they're misbehaving is always the motive. If you don't react, they will stop doing it.
