How does Army E learning transfer to military promotion points?

After completing the lesson, you will receive a certificate a day later in your AKO email. It states the number of credit hours along with the name and date of the class/when test taken. Give a COPY of the certificate to your unit admin person to have the certificate placed into iPERMs (Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System) and once placed into iPERMs, the info is put through SIDPERS (Standard Installation/Division Personnel System) to update your promotion points. You're 4100 should then reflect your points under "self-development". Give it a couple weeks though (from start to finish). This is what you do with medals/awards, too. Some medals give promotion points. Always keep your iPERMS up to date. Periodically view your iPERMS (link available in your AKO account) as you are ultimately responsible for your record.
