How did Ashfur die?

After discovering that Squirelflight was not Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf's mother, Ashur threatened to reveal the secret at the next clan gathering. Even though Holly leaf didn't know who her real mother was at the time, she still felt as though she needed to keep this secret from getting out even to her own clan. The night before the gathering Ashfur went missing. Thunderclan found his body in the lake near the border of Windclan. After they braught his body back Leafpool discovered Hollyleaf's fur in Ashfur's claws. She hid this new-found secret away hoping that Asfur's real killer would never be revealed.
