Athena helped Odysseus in many ways, she probably provided the olive tree in which he carved a spear to use to blind polyphemus.Olive trees were one of her symbols. Athena may also have had something to do with the rams coming in the second night they were trapped in the cave so Odysseus and his crew could get out to safety. He was very wise which shows she helped him because she was the goddess of wisdom and war, also she disguises him as a beggar so the suitors won't kill him once he enters his palace(house).
