Answer

VIAGRA is a prescription drug that works by increasing blood flow to the penis.

AROUSAL

When a man is sexually stimulated, VIAGRA helps the penis fill with enough blood to cause an erection. After sex is over, the erection goes away. It remains effective for about 12 hours.

During arousal, the arteries in the penis relax and widen, allowing more blood flow into the erectile tissues. These arteries then expand and harden. The veins that carry blood away from the penis become compressed, restricting the blood flow out of the penis. More blood begins flowing in and less flows out, making the penis larger, and causing an erection. Blood must be able to reach and remain in the erectile tissues to maintain erection quality. Viagra does this with a mix of different pharmaceuticals
