Answer:

I am 17, and i found out I was pregnant after 3 positive home tests. As soon as I could, I went to the local health department and had a confirmed test and signed up for temp. Medicaid, then went and signed up with WIC, then went to pregnancy care center and then set up and appt. with a dr.

When i did tell my mom, (the next day) i was leaving for work, she was on the couch, and I said, "Mom, I am pregnant, but I'm leaving now, turning my phone off so you can have time to process and cool down. I will be home tomorrow. I'm sorry and I love you" and I left. I got home the next day and she hugged me and we cried and i told her I had everything taken care of.

So when you do tell your parents, leave as you tell them and give them time to cool off...tell them you guys can discuss it later, and that you don't need a lecture, you just want love and support.

I hope this helped.. =) good luck

Hi, I'm hoping I can help out as best I can.

Every mom is going to have a different reaction. I'm 17 and pregnant and I just recently told my mother. The best thing to do is to tell her as soon as you know. She's probably going to yell. I wouldn't doubt it. My mom yelled and there was things said that she has taken back since then. But the truth is, she loves you and she's yelling because she's scared for you.

Give her time to let the news sink in. She doesn't want to see you in trouble and I'm sure after you give it some time, she's gonna want to help. I can only say, don't cop and attitude when she's yelling, it's only going to make things harder.

Good luck.

I'm 17 and pregnant as well. I didn't get the chance to tell my mother, she went threw my purse and found an instruction booklet for one of the pregnancy test that I had left in my purse that I took. She came into my room one morning and asked me what it was and i told her a lie before I came out with the truth. I told her that it was from a long time ago and she didn't really believe me. Then she asked me if I was indeed pregnant and I told her no.

Then finally out of guilt I told her yes that I was indeed pregnant. Unlike the response that I got from her that I dreamed (that she was going to yell at me and possibly disown me), her response, which I'm very lucky for, is that she asked me what my decision was going to be and whether or not I was going to keep my baby. She was very calm and collected about the whole thing. She said that she would support me in any decision that I was going to make, which I'm totally lucky for. So out of many other moms who might go overboard on you, just tell your mom and just deal with what she is going to throw at you.. Good Luck!!!!!!

Answer:

Yea, I found out 2 weeks ago that I'm pregnant and I'm 17 (18 in 3 months). Don't worry about telling your parents..they are going to find out sooner or later. :) I knew my parents were going to be alright because there is nothing they could change. I didn't know how to break the news to them. If there's someone you are really close to, get them to tell your mum and explain you didn't know how to break it to them. The daddy of my unborn baby's mum had to tell my mum and she was happy and said not to be scared, and she would be there for me to support me and it was a blessing an she loved me & everyone has been happy about it. :D So don't stress yourself out! It's bad for the baby! And get your news out in the open and keep your head up, you should be proud. :D

How should you react when you find out that your dad didn't father you?

Do you mean the man you thought was your dad is not your BIOLOGICAL father? Is this a man who raised you, loved you, and supported you? You owe that man respect. Of course it is a shock, but don't confuse a father with the person who got your mother pregnant.
