There is no classification of a felony or misdemeanor in military law or under the UCMJ. If convicted at Special or General Court-Martial you must look to the law of the state in which you reside. You must then determine if the offense convicted of at court-martial has the same or similar crime in that state. If it does, then you look to see whether the state classifies that crime as a felony and what level of a felony.
