How can a girl turn into a boy?

In classical logic he can't. But the heart isn't logical. Most boys are born, grow up and look down to their nether regions and go "yup , belongs there.." A few boys are born and grow up (to whatever age) and look down and their mind won't let go :"it's wrong, that's not supposed to be there." The mind is an uncharted region of life and if your whole life you find something to be "wrong" no matter how other people tell you "just get over it .. you're a boy ... " it's not gonna change your mind; it'll just make you reject them.

Changing a male body to appear female is often the only answer as we don't have a way to 'fix' a mind that can't accept it's own housing. Do these persons want to be like this? No. But they have to live with themselves and if every fiber of their being says "I'm a girl" either you change the physical or you go insane or you commit suicide (possibly taking family with you.) Because gender is not between your legs, it's between your ears. A person can have a "girl's" mind but have a boys body. The converse happens, a person can have a "boy's" mind but the body of a girl. This is how a boy "is really a girl"; does it make sense? Not from an everyday or psychological stance but science is studying from the biological standpoint and finding there are possible causes in for it in genetics.

Will it ever make sense to the 'average joe'? No. Unless he just wakes up one day a different race than he was yesterday and did nothing to change it. Imagine tomorrow you wake up and look in the mirror to see someone of a different race staring you back in the eye. In spite of what you see, you will be convinced beyond all doubt that you are still what you were yesterday. Everyone in the world can say "but you are xxxx" And you will stand there denying the physical fact because your whole self-perception is based on you are the race you were yesterday. A transsexual is similar in that whatever anyone says, the very heart of them rejects the physical structures.

So in the end a person whose Biology appears to be male may in fact house a mind whose whole self-perception (and bedrock of their ego) is that "he" is a female. It doesn't make them gay or freaks or evil; it means that they perceive themselves as something different from what others perceive.
