The ice erodes the land surface and carries the broken rocks and soil debris far from their original places, resulting in some interesting glacail landforms. There are 2 main processes of erosion, plucking and abrasion. Plucking is where water melts under the glacier and carries rocks and other particles away. Glaciers are akin to giant bulldozers, scouring away soils, plucking and breaking larger rock formations, sometimes with rivers running through them that move massive amounts of material.
