Answer:
Good question! It is a very labouring process by which said spider must travel to the mountains of Bandarpunch, India. Even by that there is no assurance that this spider will even MAKE it there so there is no assurance that the spider will even begin the transformation. It's really an issue of survival of the fittest. The sad reality is that not all spiders will make it. This is currently trying to be rectified by the SUFSOW organisation ("Stand Up For Spiders Of the World") They are making great progress with this heart felt issue. But after the spider makes it to these mountains there is a great wait it must partake for it to rain. Now India is a very hot country so after a long wait for it to rain the spider must bask in the glorious "makaneesh" water as it's said to be known as by old Indian travellers of the 13th Century. Only then will the transformation begin. The spider will increase in size and sprout large amounts of hair. It's a really incredible and beautiful process many Indians consider it to be sacred. Few have seen it ever happen.
