The cheapest (but more complex) way is to use reverse osmosis, which produces two water streams... one with less salt, and one very concentrated in salt (perhaps toxically so) and "floaties" that...
Well when the water goes up into the clouds, that's the only thing it takes- the water. so all the bits of rock and stuff stay down on the earth.
You must boil its at a 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Farenheit which will sterilize it and then it must be filtered.
