How does air compress?

Answer:
Air can be compressed if and only if the volume of it were decreased whilst the pressure simultaneously increased. The word "compress" means to fit more of something in a smaller space, thus increasing the impact the designated substance would make if released. (e.g. more air in a balloon would result in a harder air release if the balloon were untied).
