Bacteria reproduce by a process known as binary fission, while eukaryote such as animal cells, reproduce by mitosis. In binary fission one bacterium slowly separates into two bacteria which then also divide and the life cycle continues as this process repeats over and over.

bacteria DNA starts to separate into two different parts then it separates completely and there are two different cells.
Bacteria reproduces through a process known as binary fission.

Bacteria are prokaryotic organisms that reproduce asexually. Bacterial reproduction most commonly occurs by a kind of cell division called binary fission. Binary fission results in the formation of two bacterial cells that are genetically identical.

Take a T even 'phage virus, such as T-4.

The virus looks a bit like a lander in space and lands on a bacteria. Then the 'phage injects it's genetic material into the bacteria with some enzymes. The enzymes digest the bacterias genetic material and the 'phages genetic material hijacks the bacterial replicative machinery. The viruses DNA instructs the replicative/translative machinery to turn out viral DNA and protein 'phage material. The virus assembles many copies and these new 'phages emerge from the lysed bacteria and look for new victims.

they can reproduce by taking over other cells of other organisms that is why most scientists don't count them as living things

What is the structure of a virus like?

Viruses are ranges in different sizes and structures. HIV, HBV, influenza are all spherical in shape. Phages like T phages carry an icosahedral structures. M13 phages, ebola appear as hair like (or tube) structures. TMV appears as rod like structure.

What attaches to the bacteria and injects the hereditary material?

A bacteriophage. A virus that lands on the bacteria and injects the genetic material. Often, T even phages. ( T-2 and T-4 phages )

How are the lytic cycle and lysogenic cycl diffrent?

Phages have lytic or lysogenic cycle to reproduce themself.Phages that have lytic life cycle it kill bacteria after new progenicy of phages are relaset from host bacteria.Phages with lysogenic cyclel it integrate their DNA to the host bacteria. However, when bacteria that carry genetic material of lysogenic phages are posed to stress can switch to the lytitic cycle to produce a new progeny of pahages.

Can two phages infect bacteria at a time?

It can be.in this way we can obtain new phages thah share genes of bpth phages.

What do you call a bacteriophage when it is in a lysogenic cycle?

Phages that replicate only via the lytic cycle are known as virulent phages while phages that replicate using both lytic and lysogenic cycles are known as temperate phages.

How virtulent phages can multiply?

Virulent (virtulent) phages multiply by first attaching itself to a host cell and then absorbing it. Next, it injects its own DNA and the host eventually bursts and more phages present.
