The liver filters the junk...but NO it does NOT store junk, it eliminates it...and rather it stores vitamins...especially vitamin A....which heals acne...amongst other ailments
Edit: Vitamin A is commonly mistaken as a treatment for acne. Neither Vitamin A(retinol or beta carotene) is an effective treatment and consumption of large doses of this fat-soluble vitamin can cause toxic symptoms. Please provide your evidence for this statement and see a physician if you follow this advice. If you do suffer from acne try relaxation, go out into the sun (sun inhibits bacterial growth) or swimming (water cleanses the skin). Edit: It is correct that consuming large doses of Vitamin A can be toxic and does not help heal acne. However, there is no documentation that relaxation is an effective treatment for acne. Additionally, going out into the sun is definitely contraindicated for people with acne. Swimming in a pool with chlorine would cause excessive drying of the skin. There are effective treatments for acne and seeing a good dermatologist is key. Retin A sometimes helps, as does the Birth Control pill for females, as do certain topical agents.

Both beef and chicken liver are very nutritious, but there is one big bad down side -- they are very high in cholesterol. Chicken liver is actually slightly lower in calories but higher in fat and cholesterol than beef liver; beef liver is higher in protein and lower in fat, which still makes it higher in calories due to the higher protein content. Beef liver is higher in vitamin A, but chicken liver is higher in iron. Chicken liver is also higher in vitamin C.
