Everything about computer interaction is make believe. Join a "friendship" site with make believe friends along with their photographs! You may even have 1000's of "friends" and even your family members will be on there.
This is most likely because you (and me) are too lazy, or afraid of criticism, which will most likely be done in a friendly manner, to wash your face,put clean clothes on and get in your car and visit ONE of those friends EVERY week.
Friends on the internet are not friends they are merely TYPING acquaintances.
