I had an unbloomed daffodil that was cut at the stem and was placed in a can of pepsi. The end of the stem became brown and the stem contracted about 50% about mid way down from the center. a day later the flower bloomed and seemed fine. I am far from a gardner, but my best guess would be that the plant contacted its cells to the point that it would only take in smaller molecules like h20. Kinda like reverse osmossis. Plants have evolvled longer than humans, so I am not at all suprised. As far as the nutrients it may have gotten from the pepsi, that is way above my head.
I have tried it with a school experiment. 2 plants were fed 8ml of water each day 2 were fed 8ml of water and salt each day 2 were fed 8ml of water and 2 drops of food colouring each day and 2 were fed pepsi. and as you might of guess pepsi did the best. it started to sprout after just 3 days while the water took 2 weeks. At the end there was such a big difference between all the plants with the pepsi way in front. So the answer to your question is yes pepsi does work better on plants. why? i have no idea.
A plant can be watered by Pepsi soda but just in one condition do not put a lot of it or it will drown. That happened to me. I put a lot of Pepsi on a plant and it drowned. i watered the plant with milk and Pepsi but the milk killed my plant and the Pepsi plant was still alive so we can water
the plant with Pepsi soda
Diet Pepsi does have some phosphorus content which can be used to fertilize plants (although there are certainly less expensive ways of doing that).
potato chips
no
Neither Kool-Aid nor Pepsi would make a plant grow faster. Plants require specific nutrients and water to grow, and sugary drinks like Kool-Aid and Pepsi do not provide the necessary nutrients for plant growth. Watering the plant with just regular water is sufficient for its growth.
Yes,it could effect the growth of plants
It allows alot of water into the soil therefore, allowing plants to grow better.
Yes. Water waters plants better.
distilled If you are growing houseplants in soil, using distilled water will prevent the accumulation of calcium and other salts in the soil. However, if growing plant cuttings in water, tap water will work better.
yes i water my plant a mineral water then it did not die Rain water is alwys better for plant growth than any other form of water
it does because city water has more nutrients than other types of water and distilled water has almost no nutrients
yes
its better to water ur plants at the roots.
Boiling water or super cold water can damage or kill some plants, but, aside from that, I have never of any water temperature being better or worse for plant growth.
Caffeine-free Pepsi would not be the best choice for plants, as it has things in it that may eventually harm them. In the short term, however, it will provide the water that they need to survive.
