Dispute Resolution on WAWhen a contributor is involved in a dispute here on WikiAnswers.com, we offer a service appropriately called Dispute Resolution. Basically, a neutral third-party acts as a moderator to work through any disputes and disagreements with the parties involved. If necessary, the moderator will review any history of contributions, message board posts, etc. to help better understand the series of events and work to resolve the issues at hand. The process is carried out in privacy (out of respect for those directly and indirectly involved) via email.

Sometimes one party does not wish to make him or herself known to the other party - and this is completely acceptable. The process of moderation and resolution will be carried out in the same manner - just without names mentioned. This again protects the identity and privacy of the individual reporting the issue.

Unfortunately there are times when finding the common or middle ground is not possible. When this happens, the moderator works with both parties independently to try to get everyone on the same page as far as appropriate WikiAnswers.com contribution guidelines and TOS. It is the intention of Dispute Resolution to help find positive outcomes for all.

The program has been very successful to date - with only a few instances resulting in a block of one's account. A link is provided below containing additional information.
