According to Charles Darwin's theory, we humans evolved from apes. Millions of years ago, our anatomy was very different - we didn't stand upright, we didn't have thumbs, we had our body covered in a thick layer of hair etc. If we look at it from this perspective, it affects everyday life because we evolved all of the above - we now stand upgright, our thumbs are well developed, the majority of hair is on our head. You can imagine these affect everyday life. Imagine not having a thumb. Try puttin your thumb on your palm and pick something up with just your four fingers, and imagine having a fifth like those. How could you write, cook, or even hold a book while reading? And the hair. In the summer, we would die of heat. Imagine everybody being hunchbacked. You get the idea?
So, without getting too complicated, the skills and body parts we have evolved over these millions of years help us in just about everything we do, whether it's something we couldn't do otherwise or simply an improvement.
