Global warming caused by the green house effect has raised the temperature of the oceans so high that the coral get sick and die. Even a rise of one degree in the average water temperature can hurt the coral. Due to global warming, 1998 was the hottest year in the last six centuries and 1998 was the worst year for coral
Hello! When global warming heats up the world, it melts the ice-caps. When it does so it will eventually freeze over the ocean's surface. After a wile it will once again melt, and when it does so the oceans sea level will get higher. The corals need sunlight to survive so if the sea level rises, the sunlight will not be able to reach the corals causing them to die...

Globle warming is killing coralreefs.
Any significant warming would cause some coral to die (where the water gets too warm or too deep) and enable others to thrive (where cold water warms and shallows become covered).

How is climate threaten coral reef?

Global warming is greatly affecting coral reefs. Global warming can elevate seawater temperatures and sea levels also. The temperature change is not good for the creatures in these coral reefs, since they are used to usual warm climates. Coral reefs in more shallow waters also might have to face tidal emersions, another risk for them.

How are coral reefs being destroyed by man?

Mainly by humans polluting atmosphere and by global warming we caused

Is global warming have an impact on coral formation?

Yes, warmer temperatures and greater ocean acidification (carbonic acid from carbon dioxide) is bleaching and killing the coral reefs.

What kills coral reefs?

INCREASING OF HUMAN POPULATION GLOBAL WARMING WARMING OF THE OCEAN (rising of one degree in the ocean temperature can harm the corals) CLIMATIC CHANGE USING SODIUM CYANIDE FOR FISHING BOATS, OVERFISHING, WATER POLLUTION...

Coral reefs are beings affected by global warming what has this done to seawater?

It has raised the temperature of the ocean, which causes stress to the animals that make up the reef.

What is making the coral reefs die out?

Pollution and global warming have caused coral reefs to die.

What threatens survival of butterfly fish and angelfish?

They are tropical coral reef fish so the biggest threat to them currently is global warming and its effects on the tropical reefs like the bleaching (killing) of coral.

Is global warming having an impact on corals?

Yes, warming water as well as acidification (more carbonic acid in the water from increased carbon dioxide) is bleaching and killing coral reefs worldwide.

Are coral reefs unaffected by pollution?

Yes, coral reefs are being destroyed because of global warming, overfishing, pollution, etc.
