Due to this, farming would cease, and the grasses would die, along with trees, causing the winds to carry away topsoil that holds vital nutrients and water. This will cause the area to become a desert (a process known as desertification).
The higher, dry climate will not be one that the cows, deer, rabbits, and other wild animals will be able to survive in. this eliminates the meat source that humans would hunt. People in the area who do not move, would surely starve.
