Best Answer

due to the gravitational pull of earth we are now having atmosphere,ie;the RMS(root mean squre)velocity of gases in earth is less than escpe velocity of earth,so gases cannot escape fom earth, then its ctually temperature, density and hight determins the air pressure

Does air pressure affect gravity?

Gravity is a function of mass and distance. So, no air pressure does not affect gravity.

What can affect the force of gravity?

air pressure

How does no gravity affect no oxygen?

the air pressure is different where if the gravity substances were to change it will be normal

What are the forces that affect the horizontal movement of air?

The forces that affect the horizontal movement of air are gravity and air pressure. Wind is caused by the differences in air mass temperature.

How does increasing attitude affect air pressure and density?

as the altitude increase, the effect of gravity become more insignificant on air and the air become more disperse or thinner hence it does affect the air pressure and density by decreasing both air pressure and density of the air.

Air pressure is due to what?

an air compressor Or gravity if you mean atmospheric pressure.

Is it the air pressure that keeps us on the ground or is it gravity?

It is gravity.

Why does air pressure happen?

Air pressure is a product of the operation of gravity on the mass of atmospheric air. If there were insufficient or no gravity on Earth, the atmosphere would drift off into space. There would be no air pressure. But, because there IS gravity on Earth, the atmosphere presses down on Earth's surface, resulting in the phenomenon known as air pressure.

Doea gravity affect the air that we breath in?

Yes. Without gravity, we would have NO air to breathe.

Why does air pressure its surroundings?

Because of gravity

Is air pressure a result of gravity?

Yes, it is.

Why are you not cruched by pressure of the air?

Its because of gravity.
