How does guess the number game work? In: Computer Games |

Answer
It's simple, really. The only two responses that mean anything are the color of your number and the house that contains your number. If you pick black, that means the number must be 7, 8, 11, 19, or 24. Each of those numbers appears in a different house, so if you pick the house that contains 11, the program knows you picked 11 because it is the only black number in that house. Whichever door you pick, the program displays 11 behind that door and and any two numbers behind the other doors (we are supposed to believe that the numbers were already behind the three doors before we opened one of them). Clicking on a colored square and a crystal ball is just a diversion to add "mystery", as is, of course, anything you say aloud.
