acutly it teaches them how to fly by: the chicks either copies the mother flying so when the chicks fly they know the right way how to flap their wings so they fly. Or they learn it themselves by: just flaping their wings and when they fly they flap their wings the same way when they first started to fly so they can go to other places.

The young eagles are kicked out of the nest.

If they don't have the natural born gift of being able to fly, they crash to the ground.

I have never witnessed this myself, but it is something that I have heard all of my life.
