The theory, called abiogenesis, suggests that certain chemicals happened to be gathered in a pool at one time when they were struck by lightning. They bonded, creating amino acids (the A of DNA), which randomly assembled over millions or billions of years to create something that could reproduce itself.

This theory is still under major scruitiny since the fossil record shows that almost immediately after the first appearance of liquid water, the first living creatures also appeared. This leaves almost no time for any kind of random assemblage and certainly not enough time for something as complex as even simple life (DNA is just one part of an organism, and it is made of 3 billion perfectly matched pairs- it would take longer than the known life of the universe [over seventeen billion years] to randomly arrange something that complex, yet it happened in a few hundred million).

A driving force is required behind abiogenesis and evolution; scientists are still debating and theorizing as to what.

For example, without the Sun (nonliving) plants(living) couldnt't grow which in turn most consumers would die, then the things that eat the consumers would die, and so on. And without water (nonliving) nothing at all would survive. I even be here telling you this without water.

How an organism makes its living is called?

The way that an organism makes its living is called it niche. The niche is often important not only for it, but for the entire ecosystem. For example, the niche of the bee is to drink nectar, and, in turn, it pollinates plants. Without bees, many plants would be unable to reproduce and could become extinct.

How do living things and non living things effect each other?

Living conditions such as other similar organisms to an organism in question often results in competition for food, nutrients, and / or shelter. Natural selection is usually a result of this (natural selection is where the strongest survive), leading to evolution and development of the species. The environment, in turn, benefits from natural selection due to the decreased number of organisms draining resources. In essence, it is a cycle, with the living depending on the nonliving / other living, those being depended upon running short, the depending fighting each other, and the depended upon benefiting as a result.
