Pharaoh responded to Moses' request by saying no 9 times. Then when the 10th plague came and killed the Pharaoh 1st born son the Pharaoh called Moses' to his palace and told him to take the Israelites out of Egypt. Then realizing that he was losing his slaves the Pharaoh sends his army after Moses' and the Israelites. They were trapped before the Red Sea when God sent a fire cloud to protect the Israelites from the Egyptians. Then Moses' prayed to God and God answered by parting the Red Sea and the Israelites crossed on dry land. Then the fire cloud followed the Israelites allowing the Egyptians to follow after the Israelites. The last Israelite had finished crossing the Red Sea when the sea collapsed onto the Egyptian army and Pharaoh.

Moses didn't do so well, at first. Unlike his Faithful ancestor, Abraham, Moses didn't respond favorably to God's initial recruitment. He didn't "instantly obey" God's commands like Abraham did:

"So Abram departed as the LORD had instructed him..." (Gen.12:4 NLT New Living Translation)

In fact, Moses tried to get out of the whole deal from the start:

"But Moses protested again, 'Look, they won't believe me! They won't do what I tell them..." (Ex.4:1 NLT)

"But Moses pleaded with the LORD, 'O LORD, I'm just not a good speaker [one tradition claims that Moses 'stuttered']. I never have been, and I'm not now, even after you have spoken to me. I'm clumsy with words.'" (verse 10)

Of course, the LORD countered every argument Moses threw out to Him:

"'Who makes mouths?' the LORD asked him. 'Who makes people so they can speak or not speak, hear or not hear, see or not see? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go, and do as I have told you. I will help you speak well, and I will tell you what to say.'" (verses 11-12)

"But Moses again pleaded, 'LORD, please! Send someone else.' Then the LORD became angry with Moses. 'All right,' He said. 'What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? He is a good speaker. And look! He is on his way to meet you now...'" (verses 13-14).

Later on... Moses would refuse to circumcise his son; at which point in his relationship with the LORD became dicey indeed for Moses' continued existence:

"On the journey, when Moses and his family had stopped for the night, the LORD confronted Moses AND WAS ABOUT TO KILL HIM. But Zipporah, his wife, took a flint knife and circumcised her son... After that, the LORD left him alone." (verses 24-26)

Moses eventually came around in the development of his Faith and Obedience to the LORD's voice... but it was rough going at the start.

"It was by Faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be treated as the son of Pharaoh's daughter... He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of the Messiah than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to the great reward that God would give him. It was by Faith that Moses left the land of Egypt. He was not afraid of the king. Moses kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the One who is invisible..." (Heb.11:24-27 NLT).

Like most of God's prophets... Moses didn't do so well at the start. But he would come around to the LORD's way of thinking, and eventually became one of the most distinguished:

"There has never been another prophet like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face. The LORD sent Moses to perform all the miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt... And it was through Moses that the LORD demonstrated His Mighty Power and terrifying acts in the sight of all Israel." (Deut.34:10-12 NLT)

According to Genesis pharaoh's daughter found Moses which would make Ramses Moses' grandfather yes?

Answer 1it was in exodus not genesis.. and no it would not be his grandfather Ramses was young when moses was found..Answer 2Firstly, although Pharaoh's daughter found Moses and raised him, she was not his mother. Secondly, Pharaoh is a title and the Pharaoh at the time of Moses' youth was not the same Pharaoh (presumably Ramses) when Moses came to request his people's emancipation.
