How does one qualify to become a zoologist?

Answer

As far as I know, you would start with a BS from a university either with a degree in zoology, or as I did biology with emphasis in zoology. Then you could go on to study further and get a masters or even doctorate in zoology. I don't believe there is anything like a zoology license, you just need to get educated and get a degree in the field of zoology. You would probably also want to get some work experience or volunteer working with a zoologist.

You may want to contact someone who works at a wildlife park or zoo and find out what their education is. You could also look at any well known university's catalog and find out what degrees they offer.
