Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants convert sunlight to usable energy. In the course of this, the plants release oxygen absorb carbon dioxide. This in turn removes the animal waste product, carbon dioxide, from the air and provides oxygen, which animals require for continued life.

Photosynthesis provides food and energy to all plants, using solar energy. The rest of us animals eat our veggies, or animals that have eaten theirs, and get our food and energy that way.

What is an organism that does't use photosynthesis to produce food?

This is a trick question. Photosynthesis is used to create glucose, not to break it down. Hence, all living organisms do not use photosynthesis to break down glucose.

Does all living things eat other living things?

No, autotrophs are organisms which can create their own food. An example of an autotroph is a plant. Plants produce food by the means of photosynthesis. Plants are at the bottom of trophic levels, and are food for all other organisms. Heterotrophs are organisms which do consume other organisms for food.

What are potential benefits of an increased rate of photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis is the single most important function in all of living things. An increased rate of photosynthesis will allow the process to be not as effective.

What is consumer producer relationship?

Producers are organisms that don't have to feed off of other living organisms to survive. They are self-sufficient. All plants are producers. They produce their own nutrients through photosynthesis. Consumers are organisms that must feed off of other living organisms to survive. They can consume just producers (herbavoire), just consumers (carnivore), or both, like humans do (omnivore). They get their energy to function from other sources.

What is the function of organic molecules in unicellular organisms?

Organic molecules are the part of life we are living in earth... it is common for all level of organisms on earth.

What is the function is the chloroplast?

The main function of chloroplasts in the living cell is photosynthesis. Photosynthesis comprises several biochemical reactions enabling photolysis of water and assimilation of carbon dioxide to produce carbohydrate and oxygen. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll molecules, which absorb the sun's energy and convert it into chemical energy that can be used to fuel chemical reactions in the cell. This process is known as photosynthesis and is performed by all autotrophic organisms (such as plants and certain bacteria).

What are organisms that are able to perform photosynthesis called?

Photoautotrophs are organisms that perform photosynthesis. Less commonly they can be called holophytes.Examples of non-plant photoautotrophs include:algaecyanobacteria
