Polygamy is actually a variation OF polyamory. polyamory is the love of more than one person, or in the more current sense, having physical relations with more than one person, commited or not. Polygamy is having more than one spouse, or multiple marriages. While there are no laws against polyamory (barring any laws against homosexual acuivities if applicable) in most of the Western world, marrying more than one person is illegal.
