the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps helps you to deal with peer pressure because it enables you to build up a self confidence and discipline, usually peer pressure tends to deflate one's self esteem however with the help of this training corps there's a pride the joiners discover within, a pride in their character, abilities and citizenship. Peer pressure involving drug use and the like can all be dealt with because the JROTC disciplines and develops an appreciation of the importance of physical fitness, with such values it is easier to resist 'fitting in' with drug-users, alcoholics and the like because you come to understand that such groups may be a little reward on popularity in a college but its a shame on the country, a mark on the upbringing of new generations and the JROTC makes it very clear that pride for the counrtry, love for the country and pure respect for the country are all essentials in the upbringing of the young.
