∙ 12y agoIf you have the trait you do not have the disease, however if your blood type is AS and you marry someone with the blood type AS your child might be SS and have the sickle cell disease. Or your child could get the blood type AA and not have the trait at all but if they get AS they do not have the diseasebut they have the trait.
