How does the adaptive learning strategy affect drive-ability in a 2000 ford Taurus and should you reset the system?

Answer:

Answer

It helps compensate for engine and transmission wear, driving conditions, such as climate and altitude, and the type of driving the car is used for. It doesn't really hurt that much to reset it, because the system relearns everything fairly quick. But it doesn't fix anything either, unless you are trying to erase information learned while there was a problem, that you have corrected.
