Animal cells are eukaryotic, and plant cells are prokaryotic.

All cells replicate after cell growth, DNA replication, distribution of the duplicated chromosomes to daughter cells, then cell division.

In eukaryotes, DNA synthesis occurs during one phase and is controlled by regulatory apparatus.

before splitting, a dividing plant cell develops a cell plate that will become a cell wall. before cytokenesis in animal cells a clevage furrow develops which will be the point at which the parent cell will divide to for two daughter cells

Cell division between plant and animal cells are very similar. Prophase, metaphase, and anaphase are all the same up until telophase. In animal cells, the protein actin will start pinching the cell on the equator, causing a cleavage furrow. Actin pinches the two cells to seperate the cytoplasm and form two daughter cells.

In plant cells, Golgi vesicles transport protein to the cell to form the middle lamella, which functions to also cement the two cells together. Animal cells seperate though.

There are also the basics like how animal cells replicate the mitochondria while plants replicate the chlorplast.

Animal cells have centrioles and plant cells do not. During cytokinesis, a cell plate forms between the two daughter nuclei, but not in animal cells.

Compare and contrast between DNA and RNA with their names and functions?

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is the blueprint or design of every organism, except a virus. It is usually found in the center of the plant or animal cell, called the nucleus. RNA (ribonucleic acid) is the opposite of DNA, but it is typically found in viruses. That is the big compare and contrast between DNA and RNA.
