The digestive system can work with other systems in different ways. Lets give the example of the liver. The liver does send nutrients around the body after the small intestines absorb the nutrients and give it to the liver. The liver needs the help of the circulatory system do it. So the blood vessels of the liver help the liver give the nutrients to the body. So that's an example of how the circulatory system works with the digestive system.

Almost all animals have a tube-type digestive system in which food enters the mouth, passes through a long tube, and exits as feces (poop) through the anus. The smooth muscle in the walls of the tube-shaped digestive organs rhythmically and efficiently moves the food through the system, where it is broken down into tiny absorbable atoms and molecules.

During the process of absorption, nutrients that come from the food (including carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals) pass through channels in the intestinal wall and into the bloodstream. The blood works to distribute these nutrients to the rest of the body. The waste parts of food that the body can't use are passed out of the body as feces.

Every morsel of food we eat has to be broken down into nutrients that can be absorbed by the body, which is why it takes hours to fully digest food. In humans, protein must be broken down into amino acids, starches into simple sugars, and fats into fatty acids and glycerol. The water in our food and drink is also absorbed into the bloodstream to provide the body with the fluid it needs.

All systems of the body are mutually supportive. The digestive system turns food into usable nutrients which are then used by every system of the body. And every other system also helps to support the digestive system, which requires a blood supply from the cardio-vascular system, oxygen from the respiratory system, direction from the central nervous system, etc.

The digestive system interacts with the rest of the body by digesting, or breaking down, food into usable forms. The digestive system ensures that the rest of the body will get the nutrition necessary for proper functioning.

To digest food, the body uses many organs. First, the lungs because without oxygen, the organs could'NT function. Next the stomach where the foods simmer down to a liquid where it can pass easily. Then, it is made into energy to help your body function. Next, the liver filters out any toxins or harmful chemicals. Finally, it passes through the small and large colons and what isn't used for energy is "transported" out of the body during urination or defication.

All organs need nutrients (such as protein, vitamins, sugar, water) and the digestive system makes those available. You could say, therefore, that the digestive system affects other organs by keeping them alive.

The cardiovascular system transports the oxygen brought in by the respiratory system to other areas of the body.

What other systems does the digestive system depend on?

All systems in the human body directly or indirectly depend on each other. However, the digestive system mainly relies on the circulatory system and the musculatory system. The circulatory system brings enzymes and oxygen to the digestive system. The musculatory system performs peristalsis, to move the food through the digestive system.
