Color film contains several layers of dye (substrates), each which is sensitive to specific color ranges of light. Since color OS made up from three basic colors, red, blue and green, the developing chemicals contain mixtures specific for each dye.

The amount of light within the color range as seen by the film will determine by how much it's exposed and the combination of all three will provide you with the different hues of combined colors.

In Film, color works like this: in the film there are a few layers. There's the polyester layer (nowadays is the most used), the colors layers (red, green and blue) and top coating to protect the latent image (film exposed to light).

In digital, the screen built-in our cameras have also different layers of these colors above, that capture these same colors when the light hits the surface of colored objects and reflects that color into the lens and into the sensor. The sensor has layers of red, green and blue colors that, through an engineered system, engrave the colors and with the pixel creating sensor, create a photograph.

How is a modern camera different from old camera?

The early camera used glass plates coated with chemicals to make a picture. The glass plate was slipped into the camera and a cover on the lens was removed this made a negative picture as the light hit the coated glass. The glass was taken out of the camera and used to make a picture. Most of the glass plates were recycled for use in windows and green houses so many of the early photos are gone. The glass was later replaced with tin to make "tin types" and in the early 1900's film was introduced. In 1888 Edison made the first film projector. For most of the 20th century film was the mainly used for photos ( some people still like film better than digital). The digital camera is fairly recent to come on the market and the big advantage is that it doesn't use film. This is the main difference between the camera of today and the camera of 20 or 10 years ago. The home photographer can do much of the work that he/she use to pay for by the programs on the computer. A whole industry has been changed due to the digital camera.

If you take the film out of the disposable camera when you have no more picture's will it ruin the picture's?

Disposable cameras start with the entire roll of film wound up OUTSITE the spool/canister. As you take pics, and wind the film, the negatives are moved into the canister, so, when you have taken all the pics, and fully wound the film on, it can then be safely removed from the camera. No point, really, bacause you will be unable to reset a fresh roll into that camera...
