How does the intake of caffeine affect a child's heart rate and blood pressure and does it severely increase? |
Answer
Caffeine is a stimulant which will cause an increase in heart rate. This increase should just be temporary, like the increase during exercise. Usually with an increase in HR, there is an increase in BP. As for severely increase, it shouldn't but it will depend on how much caffeine your talking about. Its always best to ask the pediatrician.
