The Plasma membrane maintains the homeostasis throughout a cell because it filters what substances go in and out of the cell. If there is too much of a substance in a cell the plasma membrane quickly disposes it and when there is not enough of a substance in a cell the plasma membrane lets the substance in.
The plasma membrane uses selective permeability to maintain homeostasis in a cell by eliminating wastes and taking in needed items.

The cell membrane promotes homeostasis by controlling what substances are allowed to enter and leave the cell. This process is called diffusion. It also helps to maintain homeostasis through osmosis.

WHAT IS THE cell most responsible for maintaining homeostasis in all cell?

The plasma membrane is the structure that is most responsible for maintaining cell homeostasis. The plasma membrane is also known as the cell membrane.

How does selective permeability maintain homeostasis?

The selective permeability of a cells membrane helps the cell to maintain homeostasis because it controls what goes in and out of the cell. This is extremely important for the health of the cell.

What part of the cell is responible for homeostasis?

plasma membrane

State the function of the plasma membrane as it relates to homostasis?

the membrane is connected to the cells organelles and it is just like our brain. our brain helps us maintain homeostasis. therefore this is how they are connected.

How does the cell membrane help cells maintain homeostasis?

one way cells maintain homeostasis is by controlling the movement of substances across their cell membrane.

What is the part of the a cell that functions to maintain homeostasis relative to the cell's environment?

Cell membrane. the only part that has contact with external parts of cell. (also on yahoo answers ;)
