The addition of modern chemicals.

They have chemicals to keep bugs away, to keep the food from smelling, frm keeping the food going bad, to keep the food polished, and only conventionally grown foods have these chemicals. These chemicals are bad for you but you won't see the difference until like4 years of each.

Statistically speaking on a variety of tests the results have always shown that in double blind experiments 71% of organic shoppers preferred the taste of Conventionally grown Tomatoes, 80% guessed wrong on which apples were Organically grown vs Conventionally grown Apples.

In another study Bananas were cut in half and each labeled either Organic and Non-Organic, the results showed that 90%chose the half they believed to be Organic.

Showing that the preference of taste of an unknown food item to be that of Conventionally grown foods. Whereas the other study showed that their own bias made them believe they could taste a difference between 2 halves of the same fruit.

With organic vegetables, you get the true, fresh taste of the vegetable.

Try organic cheese or organic meats--you won't believe the difference!

Organic vegetables are not treated with all those chemicals. They may not be as 'pretty' or as uniform as commercially grown, but they are usually grown by local farmers in your area--and it's always nice to support local commerce. Organic anything is infinitely more healthy for you than mass-produced, chemical-filled junk.About 50% of Organic Foods in the US are grown/produced by a German company and roughly 40% are imported from China. Not local for me but depending where your from I guess that could be true. However, there are over 400 peer reviewed studies that show there is no nutritional difference between Conventional and Organically grown crops.

  • It should be noted that food safety is a concern for Organically grown crops, as they use manure which can contain E. Coli Bacteria as well as other toxic pesticides that are harmful to humans.

Preferences vary, and some don't care if foods are organic or conventionally produced. My preference is organic because true organically grown foods are produced without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, do not contain GMOs, and do not contain harmful additives and preservatives.
