The woman in the mirror is shocked to see the very prominent mean wrinkle she has right between her eyes from all the years of squinting, she also feels a sense of pride for the few silver streaks she sees peeking through her auburn hair. She feels resentment for all of the ads and commercials trying to convince her how she is no longer beautiful or sexy because she is older, when she looks into those hazel eyes she sees all the joy and sadness all the triumph and failures of her life, she would not go back in years if she could. she angrily refuses to conform and chase youth by dying her hair. those few silver hairs are beautiful and no advertising agency has the right to convince her how she should shamefully hide them, the soft lines around her eyes and her mouth show the world how often she smiled and she is proud to wear them. she has no desire to be something or someone she is not , she is not a cougar that fears her age , she has made it this far and she has plenty to show for it including those fine lines and sneaky little silver strands and she will wear them as a badge of honor not shame

In the poem "Mirror" by Sylvia Plath, the mirror is described as "unmisted" to emphasize its clear and unbiased reflection of reality. The mirror symbolizes truth and objectivity with no distortions or illusions. Its unmisted surface reflects an unaltered image, reflecting the harsh reality of aging and the loss of beauty over time.
