The answer to that question is they search for food and shelter .They search for their mother and father.
well sea turtles dont have gills so.......... they go up for air every once in a while. They come up to the surface and breathe, they actually have lungs. In the winter they can almost stay under water for the whole winter. Hope that this helps ^^
Most aquatic turtles (with the possible exception of sea turtles) must get out of the water several times a day to dry off their shells. If they do not do this, their shells grow mold and fungus and become infected.
Turtles don't "live" under water cause the have no gills so every once and a while the go to surface to breath. P.S this was written by a 9 yr old.
he has big black hole
it doesn't
no Although many turtles spend large amounts of their lives underwater, all turtles and tortoises breathe air, and must surface at regular intervals to refill their lungs. They can also spend much or all of their lives on dry land.
turtles still live in water but not all turtles.
All turtles
Yes the do, but not all of the turtles live in swamps :)
Land turtles don't do much. they lay around in the shade doing almost nothing. But underwater turtles are so cool! the swim around, and do tricks in the water. The water turtles are so much fun! land turtles aren't that much fun at all. So if you like turtles, get an underwater one! never get a land turtle.
No some are desert tortoises and such, so not all turtles live by water
Most all states have turtles.
All animals need water to live. Turtles are animals.
no
a few species do live in the Atlantic ocean i just don't remember them all
No. All reptiles, both on land and in water, must breath air. Marine reptiles can hold their breath from a considerable time, but must surface to breathe once in a while.
Tortoises occupy their own taxonomic family, called testudinidae. All types of land and aquatic turtles come in a wide range of sizes, colors, and shapes. Sometimes the name "terrapin" refers to those animals that fall somewhere between a turtle and tortoise, because they live in swampy areas or begin life underwater and eventually move to dry land.Turtles may live in freshwater, the ocean, or brackish ponds and marshland. Their front feet might be fins or merely webbed toes with streamlined back feet to help them swim. Turtles have flatter backs than tortoises, and may spend all or part of their lives underwater. They mate and lay eggs underwater or on the shore. Some turtles sun themselves on logs, rocks, or sandy banks. During cold weather, they burrow in mud and go into torpor, a state similar to hibernation.
