Yes. When one is depressed, they have a tendancy to feel tired, sad, lethargic, ect. This causes the person to become less active, sleep more, unhealthy eating choices ( either over eating, binge eating, or starvation), which affects the body. The lack of being active may cause the person to gain weight, either by eating more than usual or just lack of activity, and thus will make the person more depressed about their physical appearance and put them in a even greater state of depression. Its a continuous cycle!
