If the crash was severe enough for the airbag to deploy, your vehicle is probably not drivable. Have the police call the tow-truck that is next on the rotation list to tow your car to your favorite body shop. If you attempt to drive the vehicle after the crash you run the risk of doing more damage to the vehicle that the insurance company might not cover.
there is no max speed for airbag deployment there is a minimum speed but that speed depends on make of car and airbag
no protection
an electrical signal up to the airbag and it deploys
The crash, by far. Almost nobody has been killed by the deployment of an airbag, but a crash has caused the deaths of probably millions of people.
Airbag deployment can happen at any speed. It's not about the speed, but rather the impact that the car feels to deploy the bags.
physical
In the proper type of collision, the airbag could go off if you are sitting still.
The force of the collision has to be great enough
I don't think they have a maximum, only a minimum.
no protection
There is an airbag assy on the steering wheel and one on the dashboard on passenger side. they are assy. that get replaced.
The force of the collision has to be great enough
